College of Arts & Sciences
The College of Arts & Sciences houses a broad range of academic disciplines. Students who study human rights at our innovative Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies, who collaborate with faculty on chemical research in our labs, and who explore free verse with the former Missouri Poet Laureate all call Arts & Sciences “home.”
Uniting all our programs is a belief in free and rigorous intellectual inquiry, and that inquiry comes alive in our classrooms every day thanks to our distinctive faculty and diverse body of students. Students in the College of Arts & Sciences learn not what to think but how to think; they graduate with the ability to apply their intellect, curiosity, and global consciousness to make a positive impact on the world in whatever way they see fit.
The College of Arts & Sciences boasts the largest number and greatest diversity of departments and academic programs at Saint Louis University.
