
Funds are awarded each year to new students who intend to enroll at Saint Louis University for fall and spring semesters/terms. All new students will be awarded the maximum scholarship they qualify for at the time they are accepted to the University.
The following are application guidelines:
Awards to new students currently range from $1,000 to full tuition and are generally renewable at the same level if the required academic progress conditions are met. Awards apply only to fall and spring semester tuition charges at Saint Louis.
Applicants who are accepted or submit required credentials after the application deadline are considered only if funds remain. Decisions are based on the University’s evaluation of an applicant’s previous academic background.
Funds donated to Saint Louis University for specific needs and purposes are awarded to eligible students by the University’s Scholarship Committee. These funds carry special eligibility requirements and conditions. Award criteria is subject to change. Institutional scholarships apply to tuition costs only. Tuition assistance such as vocational rehabilitation or tuition remission may affect a student’s eligibility.
Unless otherwise indicated, all scholarships are based on full-time, flat-fee (13 to 18 credit hours) enrollment for consecutive terms until required credit hours for graduation (128) are completed.
All grade point averages (G.P.A.s) are cumulative and are calculated on all previous academic work. For transfers, previous academic work includes all attempted credits from previous institutions.
To be considered for Saint Louis University scholarship funds, you must be admitted to the university. Some awards require a separate application form and are so noted in their description. Saint Louis Gold
Value: $18,000
Awarded to first-time freshman, is renewed annually by staying in good standing with Saint Louis University, and maintaining a 3.0 GPA. This grant may not be stackable with other merit or academic awards.
Accepted applicants for admission are automatically reviewed for Saint Louis Academic Scholarship consideration and are notified within 10-14 days after receiving their admission decision.
Saint Louis University is pleased to announce a $1,000 award being offered to the dependent sons and/or daughters of Saint Louis University Alumni worldwide. This award applies to new, first-time freshmen or transfers who will be enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking students at the home campus in St. Louis, Missouri. The Legacy Scholarship is automatically renewable for a maximum of four years and can be stacked with all other Saint Louis-funded awards, with the exception of the full-tuition Presidential award and the full-tuition Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished Achievement award. Although a separate application is not required, applicants must provide the name of the qualifying parent in the space provided on the Application for Admission or on the Saint Louis Common Application Supplement.
Awarded to first-time freshmen who A) graduate from an A+ high school, as certified by the state of Missouri, B) have completed the requirements of the program, and C) are certified by their high school to receive the A+ Scholarship offered by the state of Missouri. The award level is based on the applicant’s cumulative grade point average, class rank, and ACT or SAT scores. In addition to the A+ certification, a minimum ACT of 21 or SAT of 1060 is required. This is a Saint Louis University award. The A+ award offered by the state of Missouri may only be used at Missouri public community colleges.
Awarded to incoming freshmen who have participated in Boys State and have maintained a 3.0 G.P.A., rank in the top 33% of their high school class, and have an ACT of 22 or SAT of 1100 or higher.
Awarded to incoming freshmen who have participated in Girls State and have maintained a 3.0 G.P.A., rank in the top 33% of their high school class, and have an ACT of 22 or SAT of 1100 or higher.
Saint Louis University offers this for those students who have demonstrated significant leadership activity during high school and plan to continue this activity while at Saint Louis. Students who have submitted an admission application and all supporting documents, as well as the Leadership Scholarship application, by February 14, 2017 will be considered.
In addition to significant leadership experience, students most likely to be awarded will have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and either an ACT Composite Score of 24 or an SAT combined Critical Reading and Math Score of 1160-1190. The amount is $2,000 and is renewable up to a total of eight consecutive semesters. Up to 12 individuals will be awarded.
The Midwest Student Exchange Program enables residents of Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio (effective Fall 2018), and Wisconsin to enroll at Saint Louis University at reduced tuition levels. Eligible MSEP students attending Saint Louis University will receive a 10 percent reduction in their tuition.
Competitive and available to incoming freshmen who have met two of the following criteria: a 3.75 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), a minimum 27 ACT composite or 1280 SAT or higher, rank in the top 20% of your high school graduating class. Finalists must be able to attend the scheduled on-campus competition event held at Saint Louis Groves campus.
The Proud to Serve Scholarship (PTS) is open to qualified full-time first-time freshmen and new transfer students who will attend the Saint Louis Groves campus and are dependents of active military or veterans who have been honorably discharged. Qualifying students will receive up to $3,000 annually. This is renewable each year upon successful completion of academic course work.
The Saint Louis University Loretto Community Scholarship has been established to recognize the history, mission, and service heritage of the Sisters of Loretto, and to honor their rich tradition of making higher education available to young women. This will be available to graduating seniors who plan to attend Saint Louis from any of the three Loretto-sponsored high schools: Nerinx Hall High School, St. Louis, MO; Loretto Academy, El Paso, TX; and St. Mary’s Academy, Denver, CO. A total of three per year will be offered, and multiple students from a single school can be awarded.
The Saint Louis University 63119 Community Scholarship has been established to recognize the history of community support and celebrate the partnership with Saint Louis University from those who live in the 63119 zip code community. This scholarship will be available to graduating seniors who plan to attend Saint Louis from the 63119 zip code area. A total of three per year will be offered.
The Dr. Donald M. Suggs Scholarship has been established to honor Dr. Donald M. Suggs, oral surgeon, newspaper publisher, patron of the arts and distinguished community leader. It is designed to enhance recruitment and retention of academically talented undergraduate students from ethnic groups typically under-represented in higher education. This cannot be combined with other University awards. However, students may also be eligible to receive the Bright Flight Scholarship or other federal/state need-based aid. This award is subject to change if all federal, state, institutional and private funding received by the student exceeds the estimated cost of attendance as defined by Saint Louis University’s Financial Aid Office.
The Helen Cleary Hufker Endowed Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman or undergraduate transfer student enrolled full-time in the School of Communications at Saint Louis University, with a preference given to women pursuing a degree in Audio Production. Applicants for this award must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in high school or transfer coursework previously attempted and must also have a current academic year FAFSA on file in Saint Louis’s Office of Financial Aid which demonstrates financial need.
Awarded to transfer applicants with a minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. The award level is based on the applicants’ cumulative G.P.A. on all graded college-level work completed (as calculated by Saint Louis) and/or high school academic record.
Awarded to full-time, flat-fee, degree-seeking undergraduate with a lifetime cumulative G.P.A. range between 2.5 – 2.99 for graded college-level work completed. Cumulative G.P.A. is factored by Saint Louis University.
Saint Louis University invites qualified applicants to apply for a WATTS Scholarship (Winning Approaches for Talented Transfers in STEM). The WATTS program was made available through a grant from the National Science Foundation’s Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S-STEM) program.
Awarded to full-time, flat-fee, degree-seeking transfer undergraduate applicants with a minimum 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. The award level is based on the applicant’s cumulative G.P.A. on all graded college-level work completed (as calculated by Saint Louis). Applicants must request consideration by submission of proof of membership in Phi Theta Kappa and have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours at time of application to Saint Louis University. Recipients must enroll directly from the community college into Saint Louis University without intermediary enrollment at any other baccalaureate-granting institution. This may be combined with the Saint Louis University Academic Scholarship.
Competitive renewable scholarship awarded to a full-time (taking between 13 – 18 credit hours per semester), degree-seeking undergraduate with a lifetime cumulative G.P.A. of 3.5 or above (as calculated by Saint Louis). Applicants must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa. An associate’s degree must be completed prior to enrollment at Saint Louis University or applicant must be a candidate for earning associate degree through reverse transfer. Application form, essay, and recommendation from chapter or regional Phi Theta Kappa advisor required. Recipient must enroll directly at Saint Louis University within one semester of community college graduation.

Awarded to community college transfers who A) graduated from a Missouri A+ high school and were certified to receive the A+ Scholarship from the state of Missouri, and B) either have completed or are completing an associate’s degree from a public Missouri community college. The award level is based on the applicant’s cumulative grade point average at the postsecondary level. A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average at the college level is required. Submission of a high school transcript is required for consideration of this award.

CampusRN program is the most comprehensive of its kind for nursing programs and nursing students because it features scholarship winners from six different regions across the country and awards $2500 to six needy and deserving nursing students. In addition, CampusRN has a job search tool.
The part-time scholarships listed below are available to new and currently enrolled Saint Louis University students at a St. Louis-area campus (St. Louis Home Campus, Downtown, Westport or WingHaven) who will be enrolled as part-time students (6–12 credit hours each semester) for the 2015-16 academic year. To be eligible, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. Students who do not have a FAFSA on file in Saint Louis’s financial aid office for the 2015-16 academic year by May 15, 2015, will not be considered.
Awarded to a part-time degree-seeking undergraduate junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. This is funded by the Saint Louis University Alumni Association in honor of Alice Gerdine, wife of former president, Leigh Gerdine.
Awarded to a part-time degree-seeking undergraduate junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. This is funded by the Saint Louis University Alumni Association in honor of former president, Leigh Gerdine.

Awarded to undergraduate degree-seeking women 25 years or older. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, with priority consideration given to those who have attained junior or senior status. All applicants must have a FAFSA on file in Saint Louis’s financial aid office by May 15, 2016 for the 2015-16 academic year.
For students who earned their bachelor’s degree from one of Saint Louis’s St. Louis area campuses (Old Post Office/Downtown, St. Louis Home Campus, West Port, and WingHaven) with a minimum of 3.3 GPA and pursues a graduate degree at one of the St. Louis area campuses.
